HAPPY BIRTHDAY

This card fits an A2 envelope.  The base card is lavender card stock, I used Spellbinders Fleur De Lis pendant, ran it through the cuttlebug and embossed it, then I cut it in half.  The 1st layer is black card stock and I attached the 2 halfs of the Flue De Lis to each side. The 2nd layer is lavender card stock and I attached it to the 1st layer. Using the Storybook cartridge, I cut out the tulip frame @ 3 1/2" on accent/frame setting and used the bubbles cuttlebug folder.  I cut out a circle using Spellbinder and embossed it.  The words are computer generated and I added lavender liquid pearls.

I can do ALL things!

Happy Monday everyone and I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Yesterday (Sunday) was 18 years of "going together" for my husband and I.  Yes we meet each other 18 years ago this past Sunday.  I know that so people don't keep up with the first day they meet or started going with their husband :), but I do. My husband & I have been married for 13 years now and still deeply in love :)!
So I made this simple card yesterday, just to celebrate our 18 years of "going together"!  Also, I just received some liquid pearl and I wanted to try them.  On this card, the liquid pearl is a little messy, but when I use the liquid pearl again, it will be better. Thank God for sending me the man of my dreams... I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!

Wedding Card

Hello everyone and happy Friday to you!  The wedding card...I made this card as follows:
the base card is on white card stock paper and cut at 5 11/16" X 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4" (the card fits an envelope size of 4 3/8" X 5 3/4").  I used the floral cuttlebug folder and cuttlebugged the entire card, at the very bottom of the card, I used my scor pal and scored 2 lines.  I used Spellbinders lacey oval and embossed it, I cut out wedding rings on gold metallic paper using Potpourri Basket cartridge @ 1" (or 1 1/2" I forgot) then I cut out the man & woman within the heart using the Love Struck cartridge @ 2", I also cut out the black out shape of the heart in gold metallic paper for the back ground.  Lastly, I added white pearl.  Hope you like it!

I labeled this card as "Heart of Pearls" only because I haven't made up my mind what I'm going to use this card for. Not sure if I want to use it as a birthday, mother's day, get well card, or what?? The left the center of the heart blank because that's where the message will go. This is how I made this card:
First I printed and cut out the heart with 3-D leaves. The top layer is white card stock and I used a purple ink pad to spot color it, then I used the bubbles cuttlebug folder. I attached the heart and leaves picture to the top layer, used foam adhesives with the leaves to make them 3-d style, and then I added the medium white pearl and some purlpe gem pearls. Lastly, I used lavender stickles to finish the card.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

I made this birthday card for my cousin Carla.  She's a very sweet and lovable person!  Her birthday is July 21st, I wanted to post it now in order to mail it within a couple of days as she lives in Maryland. I made this card by using an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of card stock, cut it at 4 1/4" (cut it the long way) and score it at 5 1/2".  I scored the card near the bottom, leaving enough room to stamp a message.  I used the bubbles cuttlebug folder and stamped Happy Birthday with VersaMark and purple embossing powder. I used the Spellbinders lacey oval and the classic oval and stamped the rose with VersaMark and purple embossing powder. Lastly, I added purple pearls.  Enjoy!

Sympathy Card

Another sympathy card. Simple black and white card with black embossing powder.

Tuesday, July 5, 2011

I like this card, I was just trying to come up with new ideas for making cards and I thought it would be nice to build up my sympathy card batch.  I don't like making sympathy cards because the purpose of the card is used for sad occasions, but I have to remember that we are not born to stay on this earth forever.  To make this card, my base card is silver metallic card stock, the first layer is white card stock, top layer is silver metallic card stock and I used the tone on tone method.  I used a large classic nestabilities oval, embossed it (so that it would not cut out), stamped the lilies on it with versamark, added silver embossing powder and heat set it.  I used a smaller oval at the bottom and did the same as I did for the larger oval.  I added silver pearls and that's it.  Simple yet elegant sympathy card.  This card could be made for Christmas, birthdays, Easter, etc.  Hope you enjoy!
